It happened on a friday.....

I write this with a happy (cartwheely) heart, I hope it finds u well.

A friend of mine (not initially but eventually) invited me up town for a little table tennis. i dont know why i went but there was never any doubt i wasn't going.

I rang for directions several times (a nasty habit i have of not knowing where im going, more where ive been) and found the scene. I was introduced to friends of my friend. One large-built happy sort and another.

I looked her in the eyes (got lost in them), shook her hand, mumbled something ("neil. mice to neet you") and that was the end of that. I cant really remember in any detail what happened that afternoon. I played some inspired table tennis, alot of good humored banter abounded, drinks were suggested and accepted, conversation ensued. It was comfortable. I smiled alot (it was mostly on the inside).

What followed was a path i could never have designed but would happily walk tenfold. It led me somewhere I like. Alot. Life had lurched forward, officially. A sort of turning point, fork-in-the-road, kick in the tail type deal. I didnt know the half of it. I continue to discover.

I sit here ever thankful for friends and choice and purpose and faith and dreams. that's my reality. i hope it finds you well.
